Gotland Region of Sweden

(Wednesday 1 December 2010) by Jill's travels
Hi, This is our second day in Sweden and we are more than impressed so far! Weather though reached -11.5 degrees today so we went for a walk in the forest, as you do, hope you like the photos. Think now the real winter woolies have to come out from the clothing reserves! I felt like my feet were going to drop off. Interesting hearing how the Swedes survive though, in their campervans and caravans, they have proper central heating in their swedish built vans and we could almost hear them giggle when we said we have a gas fire and blown air heating, hey ho. They also found it hilarious that we dont carry the bikes on the back of the van! This is the first campsite though that has a dishwasher free to use and free wifi which means that both of us can use our own laptops. A tram passes by the campsite every 10 minutes into the City so, we are hoping that will come in handy especially over the New Year. The campsite is a little plush but then we are in Sweden. The only downside is wine cannot be bought in the supermarkets and the cost of living is a little high, hmm. Best wishes xxx
